Kate Beardsley is a Founding Partner of Hannah Grey. A venture capitalist since 2008, she was a Founding Member of Lerer Hippeau, where she seeded some of the most iconic consumer and tech brands of a generation — including Warby Parker (IPO), Casper (IPO), Venmo (acq. Braintree), Billie (acq. Edgewell), Food52 (acq. Cherin Group), Glossier, Hipcamp, Paperless Post, Self Financial, The Citizenry, and Genies.
She is also a Founding Partner of Upslope Ventures (FKA Galvanize Ventures), the venture fund associated with Galvanize, the developer education program and national co-working community.
Kate began her career in New York City as Chief of Staff to Martha Stewart, Founder of Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia, and was an early employee of The Huffington Post. She is a board member of the Rocky Mountain Venture Capital Association and a mentor at Techstars. An honors graduate of Middlebury College, she lives in Denver with her husband and two daughters.
